9:13 你們豈不知為聖事勞碌的就吃殿中的物嗎？伺候祭壇的就分領壇上的物嗎？
9:14 主也是這樣命定，叫傳福音的靠著福音養生。
9:15 但這權柄我全沒有用過。我寫這話，並非要你們這樣待我，因為我寧可死也不叫人使我所誇的落了空。
9:16 我傳福音原沒有可誇的，因為我是不得已的。若不傳福音，我便有禍了。
9:17 我若甘心做這事，就有賞賜；若不甘心，責任卻已經託付我了。
9:18 既是這樣，我的賞賜是甚麼呢？就是我傳福音的時候叫人不花錢得福音，免得用盡我傳福音的權柄。

9:13 你們當然知道，在聖殿裏供職的人從聖殿得到食物；在祭壇邊侍候的人也分到壇上的祭物。
9:14 同樣，主也這樣吩咐：凡從事傳福音的人都應該倚靠傳福音維持生活。
9:15 但是，我並沒有利用過這些權利；我現在寫這些也不是為著爭取這種權利。我寧死也不願使我所誇耀的落空！
9:16 我沒有理由為著傳福音而誇口；我不過是奉命去傳的。我不傳福音就有禍了！
9:17 如果我傳福音是出於自願，我就可以獲得報酬；但是，上帝既然把這任務交給我，我就認為這是一種責任。
9:18 那麼，我所得的報酬是甚麼呢？就是我有傳福音而不叫人花錢的榮幸，就是說不享受傳福音應得的權利。

9:13 Do you not know that
those who are employed in the temple service get their food from the
temple, and those who serve at the altar share in the sacrificial
offerings?
9:14 In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
9:15 But I have made no use of any of these
rights, nor am I writing this to secure any such provision. For I would
rather die than have any one deprive me of my ground for boasting.
9:16 For if I preach the gospel, that gives
me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I
do not preach the gospel!
9:17 For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward; but if not of my own will, I am entrusted with a commission.
9:18 What then is my reward? Just this: that
in my preaching I may make the gospel free of charge, not making full
use of my right in the gospel.
