4:17 耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說：
4:18 「你們不可將哥轄人的支派從利未人中剪除。
4:19
他們挨近至聖物的時候，亞倫和他兒子要進去派他們各人所當辦的，所當抬的。這樣待他們，好使他們活著，不致死亡。
4:20 只是他們連片時不可進去觀看聖所，免得他們死亡。」
4:21 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
4:22 「你要將革順子孫的總數，照著宗族、家室，
4:23 從三十歲直到五十歲，凡前來任職、在會幕裡辦事的，全都數點。
4:24 革順人各族所辦的事、所抬的物乃是這樣：
4:25 他們要抬帳幕的幔子和會幕，並會幕的蓋與其上的海狗皮，和會幕的門簾，
4:26
院子的帷子和門簾（院子是圍帳幕和壇的）、繩子，並所用的器具，不論是做甚麼用的，他們都要經理。
4:27
革順的子孫在一切抬物辦事之上都要憑亞倫和他兒子的吩咐；他們所當抬的，要派他們看守。

4:31 他們辦理會幕的事，就是抬帳幕的板、閂、柱子，和帶卯的座，

「不要讓哥轄宗族的人走近這些至聖物，免得他們被擊殺。為了避免發生這種事，亞倫和他的兒子要進入聖幕，派定每人的工作，告訴他們該扛抬的是甚麼。

革順宗族的職責
4:21 上主命令摩西，
4:22 要按照部族、家族調查利未人革順宗族的人口，
4:23 把所有三十歲到五十歲之間、能在上主的聖幕裏工作的男人都登記下來。
4:24 他們要負責扛抬以下的物件：
4:25 聖幕裏面的幕頂和外面的頂蓋、蓋在上面精緻的皮、門簾、
4:26 聖幕和祭壇周圍院子的帷幔和繩子、院門的門簾，以及所有安置這些東西的附件。他們要管理一切跟這些東西有關的事務。
4:27 摩西和亞倫要監視革順宗族的人做這些事，督導他們搬運亞倫和他的兒子們派他們搬運的物件。

4:17 The LORD said to Moses
and Aaron,
4:18 "Let not the tribe of the families of
the Ko'hathites be destroyed from among the Levites;
4:19 but deal thus with them, that they may
live and not die when they come near to the most holy things: Aaron and
his sons shall go in and appoint them each to his task and to his
burden,
4:20 but they shall not go in to look upon
the holy things even for a moment, lest they die."
4:21 The LORD said to Moses,
4:22 "Take a census of the sons of Gershon
also, by their families and their fathers' houses;
4:23 from thirty years old up to fifty years
old, you shall number them, all who can enter for service, to do the
work in the tent of meeting.
4:24 This is the service of the families of
the Gershonites, in serving and bearing burdens:
4:25 they shall carry the curtains of the
tabernacle, and the tent of meeting with its covering, and the covering
of goatskin that is on top of it, and the screen for the door of the
tent of meeting,
4:26 and the hangings of the court, and the
screen for the entrance of the gate of the court which is around the
tabernacle and the altar, and their cords, and all the equipment for
their service; and they shall do all that needs to be done with regard
to them.
4:27 All the service of the sons of the
Gershonites shall be at the command of Aaron and his sons, in all that
they are to carry, and in all that they have to do; and you shall assign
to their charge all that they are to carry.
4:28 This is the service of the families of
the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting, and their work is to
be under the oversight of Ith'amar the son of Aaron the priest.
4:29 "As for the sons of Merar'i, you shall
number them by their families and their fathers' houses;
4:30 from thirty years old up to fifty years
old, you shall number them, every one that can enter the service, to do
the work of the tent of meeting.
4:31 And this is what they are charged to
carry, as the whole of their service in the tent of meeting: the frames
of the tabernacle, with its bars, pillars, and bases,
4:32 and the pillars of the court round about
with their bases, pegs, and cords, with all their equipment and all
their accessories; and you shall assign by name the objects which they
are required to carry.
4:33 This is the service of the families of
the sons of Merar'i, the whole of their service in the tent of meeting,
under the hand of Ith'amar the son of Aaron the priest."
