4:1 耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說：
4:2 「你從利未人中，將哥轄子孫的總數，照他們的家室、宗族，
4:3 從三十歲直到五十歲，凡前來任職、在會幕裡辦事的，全都計算。
4:4 哥轄子孫在會幕搬運至聖之物，所辦的事乃是這樣：
4:5 起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子要進去摘下遮掩櫃的幔子，用以蒙蓋法櫃，
4:6 又用海狗皮蓋在上頭，再蒙上純藍色的毯子，把槓穿上。
4:7
又用藍色毯子鋪在陳設餅的桌子上，將盤子、調羹、奠酒的爵，和杯擺在上頭。桌子上也必有常設的餅。
4:8 在其上又要蒙朱紅色的毯子，再蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
4:9 要拿藍色毯子，把燈臺和燈臺上所用的燈盞、剪子、蠟花盤，並一切盛油的器皿，全都遮蓋。
4:10 又要把燈臺和燈臺的一切器具包在海狗皮裡，放在抬架上。
4:11 在金壇上要鋪藍色毯子，蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
4:12 又要把聖所用的一切器具包在藍色毯子裡，用海狗皮蒙上，放在抬架上。
4:13 要收去壇上的灰，把紫色毯子鋪在壇上；
4:14
又要把所用的一切器具，就是火鼎、肉鍤子、鏟子、盤子，一切屬壇的器具都擺在壇上，又蒙上海狗皮，把槓穿上。
4:15
將要起營的時候，亞倫和他兒子把聖所和聖所的一切器具遮蓋完了，哥轄的子孫就要來抬，只是不可摸聖物，免得他們死亡。會幕裡這些物件是哥轄子孫所當抬的。
4:16
「祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒所要看守的是點燈的油與香料，並當獻的素祭和膏油，也要看守全帳幕與其中所有的，並聖所和聖所的器具。」

4:1 上主要摩西
4:2 (按照部族、家族)調查利未人哥轄宗族的人口，
4:3 把所有三十歲到五十歲之間、能在上主的聖幕裏工作的男人都登記下來。
4:4 他們專做跟至聖物有關的工作。
4:5 上主指示摩西，在拔營的時候，亞倫和他的兒子們要進入聖幕，把約櫃前面的帳幔取下，蓋在約櫃上面。
4:6 他們要用精緻的皮蓋在上面，再蒙上一塊純藍色的布，然後把槓子穿過去。
4:7 他們要鋪一塊藍色布在供餅桌上，再把盤子、盛香的碟子、奠酒用的壺和杯都放在上面。桌上要時常陳列著供餅。
4:8 他們要用一塊朱紅色的布蒙在這些東西上面，再蓋上一層精緻的皮，然後把槓子穿過去。
4:9 他們要用藍色布蓋住燈臺、燈、燈花剪刀、燈盤子，和所有盛橄欖油的容器。
4:10 用精緻的皮把這些東西包起來，放在抬架上。
4:11 其次，他們要鋪一塊藍色布在金祭壇上，再用精緻的皮蓋住，然後把槓子穿過去。
4:12 要用藍色布把所有聖所裏的器皿包起來，再蓋上精緻的皮，放在抬架上。
4:13 要除去祭壇上油膩的灰，用紫色布蓋在祭壇上，
4:14 把一切祭壇的附屬物件，就是火鼎、火鉤、火鏟，和火盆都放在上面，然後要在上面蓋上精緻的皮，把槓子穿過去。
4:15
拔營的時候，哥轄宗族要等亞倫和他的兒子們把這些聖物和所有的附件蓋好以後，才來扛抬。哥轄宗族的人絕不可觸摸這些聖物，否則會死亡。移動聖幕的時候，哥
轄宗族要負責這些事。
4:16 祭司亞倫的兒子以利亞撒要負責看守整個聖幕，以及燈油、香、素祭、聖油，和聖幕裏一切分別為聖歸給上主的東西。

4:1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
4:2 "Take a census of the sons of Kohath from
among the sons of Levi, by their families and their fathers' houses,
4:3 from thirty years old up to fifty years
old, all who can enter the service, to do the work in the tent of
meeting.
4:4 This is the service of the sons of Kohath
in the tent of meeting: the most holy things.
4:5 When the camp is to set out, Aaron and his
sons shall go in and take down the veil of the screen, and cover the
ark of the testimony with it;
4:6 then they shall put on it a covering of
goatskin, and spread over that a cloth all of blue, and shall put in its
poles.
4:7 And over the table of the bread of the
Presence they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put upon it the plates,
the dishes for incense, the bowls, and the flagons for the drink
offering; the continual bread also shall be on it;
4:8 then they shall spread over them a cloth
of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of goatskin, and shall
put in its poles.
4:9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and
cover the lampstand for the light, with its lamps, its snuffers, its
trays, and all the vessels for oil with which it is supplied:
4:10 and they shall put it with all its
utensils in a covering of goatskin and put it upon the carrying frame.
4:11 And over the golden altar they shall
spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of goatskin, and
shall put in its poles;
4:12 and they shall take all the vessels of
the service which are used in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of
blue, and cover them with a covering of goatskin, and put them on the
carrying frame.
4:13 And they shall take away the ashes from
the altar, and spread a purple cloth over it;
4:14 and they shall put on it all the
utensils of the altar, which are used for the service there, the
firepans, the forks, the shovels, and the basins, all the utensils of
the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of goatskin, and
shall put in its poles.
4:15 And when Aaron and his sons have
finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the
sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that the sons of Kohath shall
come to carry these, but they must not touch the holy things, lest they
die. These are the things of the tent of meeting which the sons of
Kohath are to carry.
4:16 "And Elea'zar the son of Aaron the
priest shall have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense,
the continual cereal offering, and the anointing oil, with the
oversight of all the tabernacle and all that is in it, of the sanctuary
and its vessels."
