21:15 他們吃完了早飯，耶穌對西門彼得說：約翰（在太16：17稱約拿）的兒子西門，你愛我比這些更深嗎？彼得說：主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。耶穌對他說：你餵 養我的小羊。
21:16 耶穌第二次又對他說：約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？彼得說：主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。耶穌說：你牧養我的羊。
21:17 第三次對他說：約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？彼得因為耶穌第三次對他說你愛我嗎，就憂愁，對耶穌說：主啊，你是無所不知的；你知道我愛你。耶穌說：你餵養我 的羊。
21:18 我實實在在的告訴你，你年少的時候，自己束上帶子，隨意往來；但年老的時候，你要伸出手來，別人要把你束上，帶你到不願意去的地方。
21:19 耶穌說這話是指著彼得要怎樣死，榮耀神。說了這話，就對他說：你跟從我吧！
21:20 彼得轉過來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟著，就是在晚飯的時候，靠著耶穌胸膛說：主啊，賣你的是誰？的那門徒。
21:21 彼得看見他，就問耶穌說：主啊，這人將來如何？
21:22 耶穌對他說：我若要他等到我來的時候，與你何干？你跟從我吧！
21:23 於是這話傳在弟兄中間，說那門徒不死。其實，耶穌不是說他不死，乃是說：我若要他等到我來的時候，與你何干？
21:24 為這些事作見證，並且記載這些事的就是這門徒；我們也知道他的見證是真的。
21:25 耶穌所行的事還有許多，若是一一的都寫出來，我想，所寫的書就是世界也容不下了。

21:15 他們吃過以後，耶穌問西門‧彼得：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我勝過這些嗎？」他回答：「主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌說：「你餵養我的小羊。」
21:16 耶穌第二次問：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」他回答：「主啊，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌對他說：「你牧養我的羊。」
21:17 耶穌第三次再問：「約翰的兒子西門，你愛我嗎？」彼得因為耶穌一連三次問他「你愛我嗎」就難過起來，對耶穌說：「主啊，你無所不知，你知道我愛你。」耶穌 說：「你餵養我的羊。
21:18 我鄭重地告訴你，你年輕的時候，自己束上腰帶，隨意往來；但年老的時候，你要伸出手來，別人要把你綁著，帶你到不願意去的地方。」
21:19 (耶穌說這話是指明彼得將怎樣死，來榮耀上帝。)接著，耶穌又對他說：「你跟從我吧！」
 21:20 彼得轉身，看見耶穌所鍾愛的那門徒跟在後面(那門徒曾在那晚吃飯的時候挨近耶穌，問他「主啊，要出賣你的是誰」。)。
21:21 彼得看見他，就問耶穌：「主啊，這個人將來怎樣？」
21:22 耶穌回答：「如果我要他活著等到我來，也不關你的事。你只管跟從我吧！」
21:23 於是，這話流傳在跟從耶穌的人當中，說那個門徒不會死。其實，耶穌並沒有說他不會死，而是說「如果我要他活著等到我來，也不關你的事」。
21:24 這個人就是為這些事作見證的那門徒；他把這些事記錄下來。我們知道他的見證都是真的。
 21:25 耶穌還做了許多別的事，要是一一記錄下來，我想整個世界也容納不下那麼多的書。

21:15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
21:16 A second time he said to him, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.
21:18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go."
21:19 (This he said to show by what death he was to glorify God.) And after this he said to him, "Follow me."
21:20 Peter turned and saw following them the disciple whom Jesus loved, who had lain close to his breast at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?"
21:21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?"
21:22 Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!"
21:23 The saying spread abroad among the brethren that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"
21:24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness to these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
21:25 But there are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
