7:37 節期的末日，就是最大之日，耶穌站著高聲說：人若渴了，可以到我這裡來喝。
7:38 信我的人就如經上所說：從他腹中要流出活水的江河來。
7:39 耶穌這話是指著信他之人要受聖靈說的。那時還沒有賜下聖靈來，因為耶穌尚未得著榮耀。
7:40 眾人聽見這話，有的說：這真是那先知。
7:41 有的說：這是基督。但也有的說：基督豈是從加利利出來的嗎？
7:42 經上豈不是說基督是大衛的後裔，從大衛本鄉伯利恆出來的嗎？
7:43 於是眾人因著耶穌起了紛爭。
7:44 其中有人要捉拿他，只是無人下手。
7:45 差役回到祭司長和法利賽人那裡。他們對差役說；你們為甚麼沒有帶他來呢？
7:46 差役回答說：從來沒有像他這樣說話的！
7:47 法利賽人說：你們也受了迷惑嗎？
7:48 官長或是法利賽人豈有信他的呢？
7:49 但這些不明白律法的百姓是被咒詛的！
7:50 內中有尼哥底母，就是從前去見耶穌的，對他們說：
7:51 不先聽本人的口供，不知道他所做的事，難道我們的律法還定他的罪嗎？
7:52 他們回答說：你也是出於加利利嗎？你且去查考，就可知道加利利沒有出過先知。

7:37 節期的最後一天是最隆重的一天。耶穌站起來，高聲宣告說：「人要是渴了，就該到我這裏來喝。
7:38 聖經上說：『那信我的人有活水的河流要從他心中湧流出來【8】。』」
7:39 耶穌這話是指信他的人將要接受的聖靈說的。那時候聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得到榮耀。
群眾因耶穌紛爭
7:40 群眾當中有許多人聽見了這話，就說：「這個人確實是那位先知！」
7:41 也有人說：「他是基督！」另有人說：「基督怎麼會來自加利利？
7:42 因為聖經記載著：基督是大衛的後代，要降生在大衛的本鄉伯利恆。」
7:43 於是群眾為了耶穌引起紛爭。
7:44 有些人想逮捕他，但是沒有人下手。
7:45 警衛們回去見祭司長和法利賽人；他們問：「為甚麼沒有把耶穌帶來呢？」
7:46 警衛們回答：「從來沒有人像他那樣講話的！」
7:47 法利賽人說：「你們也受他愚弄了嗎？
7:48 難道我們的領袖或法利賽人有信他的嗎？
7:49 這些不明白摩西法律的愚民是該受詛咒的！」
7:50 他們當中有尼哥德慕；他從前去見過耶穌。他警告他們：
7:51 「我們的法律容許在沒有聽口供或查明真相之前定人的罪嗎？」
7:52 他們說：「難道你也是加利利人嗎？去查考聖經就知道，加利利不會出先知。」
8:1 [大家都回家去了，耶穌卻到橄欖山去。
思想問題:我有屬靈的乾渴嗎?我是否願意到耶穌那裡去喝祂所賜的活水?

1.求上帝賜給我們生命的活水,使我們可以不再渴望那些不能真正滿足我們的東西

7:37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed, "If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.
7:38 He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, `Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.'"
7:39 Now this he said about the Spirit, which
those who believed in him were to receive; for as yet the Spirit had
not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
7:40 When they heard these words, some of the people said, "This is really the prophet."
7:41 Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Is the Christ to come from Galilee?
7:42 Has not the scripture said that the Christ is descended from David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
7:43 So there was a division among the people over him.
7:44 Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.
7:45 The officers then went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, "Why did you not bring him?"
7:46 The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this man!"
7:47 The Pharisees answered them, "Are you led astray, you also?
7:48 Have any of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in him?
7:49 But this crowd, who do not know the law, are accursed."
7:50 Nicode'mus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them,
7:51 "Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?"
7:52 They replied, "Are you from Galilee too? Search and you will see that no prophet is to rise from Galilee."
