18:12 到迦流作亞該亞方伯的時候，猶太人同心起來攻擊保羅，拉他到公堂，
18:13 說：這個人勸人不按著律法敬拜神。
18:14 保羅剛要開口，迦流就對猶太人說：你們這些猶太人！如果是為冤枉或奸惡的事，我理當耐性聽你們。
18:15 但所爭論的，若是關乎言語、名目，和你們的律法，你們自己去辦吧！這樣的事我不願意審問；
18:16 就把他們攆出公堂。
18:17 眾人便揪住管會堂的所提尼，在堂前打他。這些事迦流都不管。
18:18 保羅又住了多日，就辭別了弟兄，坐船往敘利亞去；百基拉、亞居拉和他同去。他因為許過願，就在堅革哩剪了頭髮。
18:19 到了以弗所，保羅就把他們留在那裡，自己進了會堂，和猶太人辯論。
18:20 眾人請他多住些日子，他卻不允，
18:21 就辭別他們，說：神若許我，我還要回到你們這裡；於是開船離了以弗所。
18:22 在凱撒利亞下了船，就上耶路撒冷去問教會安，隨後下安提阿去。
18:23 住了些日子，又離開那裡，挨次經過加拉太和弗呂家地方，堅固眾門徒。

18:12 當迦流出任亞該亞總督的時候，猶太人集合起來攻擊保羅，把他拉上法庭，
18:13 控告他：「這個人教唆別人用不合法的方式敬拜上帝！」
18:14 保羅剛要開口，迦流對猶太人說：「假如這是一件冤枉或犯法的事，我當然要耐著性子聽你們；
18:15 既然所爭論的是你們法律上的一些字眼名詞，你們自己去解決吧。我不願意審判這樣的事！」
18:16 於是把他們趕出法庭。
18:17 大家就揪著會堂的主管所提尼，在庭前毆打他。這事迦流也不過問。
保羅回到安提阿
18:18 保羅在哥林多和信徒們又住了好些日子，然後離開他們，跟百基拉和亞居拉一道坐船到敘利亞去。動身以前，他在堅革哩把頭髮剪掉了，因為他曾經許下一個願。
18:19 他們到了以弗所，在那裏，保羅向百基拉和亞居拉告別，自己到會堂去跟猶太人辯論。
18:20 大家請他留下來多住些日子，但保羅不答應。
18:21 臨別的時候，他對他們說：「如果是上帝的旨意，我會再回到你們這裏來。」於是保羅又從以弗所上船。
18:22 保羅一到凱撒利亞，就上耶路撒冷探望教會，然後去安提阿，
18:23 在那裏住了一些日子才走。他走遍了加拉太和弗呂家一帶地方，到處堅固門徒的信心。

18:12 But when Gallio was proconsul of Acha'ia, the Jews made a united attack upon Paul and brought him before the tribunal,
18:13 saying, "This man is persuading men to worship God contrary to the law."
18:14 But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, "If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious crime, I should have reason to bear with you, O Jews;
18:15 but since it is a matter of questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves; I refuse to be a judge of these things."
18:16 And he drove them from the tribunal.
18:17 And they all seized Sos'thenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal. But Gallio paid no attention to this.
18:18 After this Paul stayed many days longer, and then took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aq'uila. At Cen'chre-ae he cut his hair, for he had a vow.
18:19 And they came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself went into the synagogue and argued with the Jews.
18:20 When they asked him to stay for a longer period, he declined;
18:21 but on taking leave of them he said, "I will return to you if God wills," and he set sail from Ephesus.
18:22 When he had landed at Caesare'a, he went up and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch.
18:23 After spending some time there he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phryg'ia, strengthening all the disciples.
