1:11 弟兄們，我告訴你們，我素來所傳的福音不是出於人的意思。
1:12 因為我不是從人領受的，也不是人教導我的，乃是從耶穌基督啟示來的。
1:13 你們聽見我從前在猶太教中所行的事，怎樣極力逼迫殘害神的教會。
1:14 我又在猶太教中，比我本國許多同歲的人更有長進，為我祖宗的遺傳更加熱心。
1:15 然而，那把我從母腹裡分別出來、又施恩召我的神，
1:16 既然樂意將他兒子啟示在我心裡，叫我把他傳在外邦人中，我就沒有與屬血氣的人商量，
1:17 也沒有上耶路撒冷去見那些比我先作使徒的，惟獨往阿拉伯去，後又回到大馬士革。
1:18 過了三年，才上耶路撒冷去見磯法，和他同住了十五天。
1:19 至於別的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都沒有看見。
1:20 我寫給你們的不是謊話，這是我在神面前說的。
1:21 以後我到了敘利亞和基利家境內。
1:22 那時，猶太信基督的各教會都沒有見過我的面。
1:23 不過聽說那從前逼迫我們的，現在傳揚他原先所殘害的真道。
1:24 他們就為我的緣故，歸榮耀給神。

1:11 弟兄姊妹們，我要你們知道，我所傳的福音不是人想出來的。
1:12 我沒有從任何人接受這福音，也沒有向任何人求教過，而是耶穌基督親自向我啟示的。
1:13 我從前信奉猶太教時的行事為人，你們都很清楚。我不留情地迫害上帝的教會，極力摧殘它。
1:14 在同輩猶太人中，我比別人更積極地遵行猶太教規，更熱心遵奉祖宗的傳統教訓。
1:15 但是，由於上帝的恩典，在我出生以前，他已經揀選了我，召我來事奉他。
1:16 當他決定向我啟示他的兒子，使我在外邦人當中宣揚有關基督的福音時，我並沒有向任何人求教，

1:11 For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not man's gospel.
1:12 For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
1:13 For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it;
1:14 and I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.
1:15 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and had called me through his grace,
1:16 was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not confer with flesh and blood,
1:17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned to Damascus.
1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and remained with him fifteen days.
1:19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord's brother.
1:20 (In what I am writing to you, before God, I do not lie!)
1:21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cili'cia.
1:22 And I was still not known by sight to the churches of Christ in Judea;
1:23 they only heard it said, "He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."
1:24 And they glorified God because of me.
