27:1 屬約瑟的兒子瑪拿西的各族，有瑪拿西的玄孫，瑪吉的曾孫，基列的孫子，希弗的兒子西羅非哈的女兒，名叫瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。她們前來，
27:2 站在會幕門口，在摩西和祭司以利亞撒，並眾首領與全會眾面前，說：
27:3 「我們的父親死在曠野。他不與可拉同黨聚集攻擊耶和華，是在自己罪中死的；他也沒有兒子。
27:4 為甚麼因我們的父親沒有兒子就把他的名從他族中除掉呢？求你們在我們父親的弟兄中分給我們產業。」
27:5 於是，摩西將她們的案件呈到耶和華面前。
27:6 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
27:7 「西羅非哈的女兒說得有理。你定要在她們父親的弟兄中，把地分給她們為業；要將她們父親的產業歸給她們。
27:8 你也要曉諭以色列人說：『人若死了沒有兒子，就要把他的產業歸給他的女兒。
27:9 他若沒有女兒，就要把他的產業給他的弟兄。
27:10 他若沒有弟兄，就要把他的產業給他父親的弟兄。
27:11 他父親若沒有弟兄，就要把他的產業給他族中最近的親屬，他便要得為業。』這要作以色列人的律例典章，是照耶和華吩咐摩西的。」

27:1 西羅非哈的女兒們有瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。西羅非哈的父親是希弗；希弗的父親是基列；基列的父親是瑪吉；瑪吉的父親是瑪拿西；瑪拿西的父親是約瑟。
27:2 西羅非哈的五個女兒到上主的聖幕門口，站在摩西和祭司以利亞撒，以及各領袖和全體會眾面前，對他們說：
27:3 「我們的父親死在曠野，沒有兒子。他沒有跟背叛上主的可拉一夥。他死，是因為自己的罪。
27:4 難道因為我們父親沒有兒子，就從以色列中把他的名字除掉嗎？請讓我們在父親的親屬中分得一份產業。」
27:5 於是摩西向上主陳明她們的案件。
27:6 上主對他說：
27:7 「西羅非哈的女兒們所要求的是對的。你要從她們父親的親屬中把產業分給她們，讓她們繼承父親的產業。
27:8 你要告訴以色列人，如果有人死了，沒有兒子，他的女兒可以繼承他的產業。
27:9 如果他沒有女兒，就由他的兄弟繼承；
27:10 如果他沒有兄弟，就由他的叔伯繼承；
27:11 如果他連兄弟叔伯都沒有，那麼他的近親就可繼承他的產業。這要成為以色列人的法律。我是上主；我這樣命令你了。」

27:1 Then drew near the daughters of Zeloph'ehad
the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manas'seh, from
the families of Manas'seh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters
were: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
27:2 And they stood before Moses, and before
Elea'zar the priest, and before the leaders and all the congregation, at
the door of the tent of meeting, saying,
27:3 "Our father died in the wilderness; he
was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together
against the LORD in the company of Korah, but died for his own sin; and
he had no sons.
27:4 Why should the name of our father be
taken away from his family, because he had no son? Give to us a
possession among our father's brethren."
27:5 Moses brought their case before the LORD.
27:6 And the LORD said to Moses,
27:7 "The daughters of Zeloph'ehad are right;
you shall give them possession of an inheritance among their father's
brethren and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
27:8 And you shall say to the people of
Israel, `If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his
inheritance to pass to his daughter.
27:9 And if he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
27:10 And if he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
27:11 And if his father has no brothers,
then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman that is next to him
of his family, and he shall possess it. And it shall be to the people of
Israel a statute and ordinance, as the LORD commanded Moses.'"
