13:25 過了四十天，他們窺探那地才回來，
13:26 到了巴蘭曠野的加低斯，見摩西、亞倫，並以色列的全會眾，回報摩西、亞倫，並全會眾，又把那地的果子給他們看；
13:27 又告訴摩西說：「我們到了你所打發我們去的那地，果然是流奶與蜜之地；這就是那地的果子。
13:28 然而住那地的民強壯，城邑也堅固寬大，並且我們在那裡看見了亞衲族的人。
13:29 亞瑪力人住在南地；赫人、耶布斯人、亞摩利人、住在山地；迦南人住在海邊並約旦河旁。」
13:30 迦勒在摩西面前安撫百姓，說：「我們立刻上去得那地吧！我們足能得勝。」
13:31 但那些和他同去的人說：「我們不能上去攻擊那民，因為他們比我們強壯。」
13:32 探子中有人論到所窺探之地，向以色列人報惡信，說：「我們所窺探、經過之地是吞吃居民之地，我們在那裡所看見的人民都身量高大。
13:33 我們在那裡看見亞衲族人，就是偉人；他們是偉人的後裔。據我們看，自己就如蚱蜢一樣；據他們看，我們也是如此。」

13:25 探子在那地偵察了四十天後，就回到
13:26 巴蘭曠野的加低斯，把他們所看見的向摩西、亞倫，和全以色列會眾報告，同時把帶回來的果子給大家看。
13:27 他們告訴摩西：「我們偵察了那地方，發現那是流奶與蜜的肥沃土地；這就是那地所產的果子。
13:28 但那地的居民很強悍；他們的城又大又堅固。還有，我們在那裏看見了巨人亞衲的後代。
13:29 亞瑪力人住在南邊；赫人、耶布斯人，和亞摩利人住在山區；迦南人住在地中海沿岸和約旦河邊。」
13:30 迦勒安撫那些埋怨摩西的人，說：「我們現在應該上去佔領那片土地；我們有足夠的力量征服它。」
13:31 可是，跟迦勒一起去的人說：「不，我們沒有足夠的力量去攻打他們；那裏的人比我們強大。」
13:32 於是他們在以色列人當中散佈有關那地不確實的報告。他們說：「那地的出產還不夠養活當地的人呢。我們所看見的每一個人都很高大。
13:33 我們在那裏甚至見到了巨人亞衲的後代；我們覺得自己像蚱蜢一樣渺小，而在他們眼中，我們也確是這樣。」

13:25 At the end of forty days they returned from spying out the land.
13:26 And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
13:27 And they told him, "We came to the land to which you sent us; it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
13:28 Yet the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there.
13:29 The Amal'ekites dwell in the land of the Negeb; the Hittites, the Jeb'usites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan."
13:30 But Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once, and occupy it; for we are well able to overcome it."
13:31 Then the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we."
13:32 So they brought to the people of Israel an evil report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land, through which we have gone, to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.
13:33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim); and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them."
