4:11 婦人說：「先生，沒有打水的器具，井又深，你從那裡得活水呢？
4:12 我們的祖宗雅各將這井留給我們，他自己和兒子並牲畜也都喝這井裡的水，難道你比他還大嗎？」
4:13 耶穌回答說：凡喝這水的還要再渴；
4:14 人若喝我所賜的水就永遠不渴。我所賜的水要在他裡頭成為泉源，直湧到永生。」
4:15 婦人說：「先生，請把這水賜給我，叫我不渴，也不用來這麼遠打水。」
4:16 耶穌說：「你去叫你丈夫也到這裡來。」
4:17 婦人說：「我沒有丈夫。」耶穌說：「你說沒有丈夫是不錯的。
4:18 你已經有五個丈夫，你現在有的並不是你的丈夫。你這話是真的。」

4:11 那女人說：「先生，你沒有打水的器具，井又深，你哪裏去取活水呢？
4:12 我們的祖先雅各給我們這口井；他、他的兒女，和他的牲畜都喝這口井的水。難道你自以為比他還大嗎？」
4:13 耶穌回答：「喝了這水的人還會再渴；
4:14 但是，誰喝了我所給的水，誰就永遠不再渴。我給的水要在他裏面成為泉源，不斷地湧出活水，使他得到永恆的生命。」
4:15 女人說：「先生，請給我這水，使我永不再渴，也不用再來這裏打水。」
4:16 耶穌對她說：「去叫你的丈夫，然後再到這裏來。」
4:17 女人說：「我沒有丈夫。」耶穌說：「你說你沒有丈夫，並沒有錯。
4:18 你曾經有五個丈夫，現在跟你一起的不是你的丈夫。你說的話是對的。」

4:12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his sons, and his cattle?"
4:13 Jesus said to her, "Every one who drinks of this water will thirst again,
4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I
shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will
become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
4:15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
4:16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
4:17 The woman answered him, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You are right in saying, `I have no husband';
4:18 for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband; this you said truly."
