21:17 到了耶路撒冷，弟兄們歡歡喜喜的接待我們。
21:18 第二天，保羅同我們去見雅各；長老們也都在那裡。
21:19 保羅問了他們安，便將神用他傳教，在外邦人中間所行之事，一一的述說了。
21:20 他們聽見，就歸榮耀與神，對保羅說：兄台，你看猶太人中信主的有多少萬，並且都為律法熱心。
21:21 他們聽見人說：你教訓一切在外邦的猶太人離棄摩西，對他們說：不要給孩子行割禮，也不要遵行條規。
21:22 眾人必聽見你來了，這可怎麼辦呢？
21:23 你就照著我們的話行吧？我們這裡有四個人，都有願在身。
21:24 你帶他們去，與他們一同行潔淨的禮，替他們拿出規費，叫他們得以剃頭。這樣，眾人就可知道，先前所聽見你的事都是虛的；並可知道，你自己為人，循規蹈矩，遵行律法。
21:25 至於信主的外邦人，我們已經寫信擬定，叫他們謹忌那祭偶像之物，和血，並勒死的牲畜，與姦淫。
21:26 於是保羅帶著那四個人，第二天與他們一同行了潔淨的禮，進了殿，報明潔淨的日期滿足，只等祭司為他們各人獻祭。

21:17 我們到了耶路撒冷，信徒們熱誠地接待我們。
21:18 第二天，保羅跟我們一道去見雅各；所有教會的長老也都在場。
21:19 保羅向他們問安，然後把上帝怎樣使用他在外邦人當中的事奉都向他們報告。
21:20 他們聽見了都頌讚上帝，又對保羅說：「弟兄啊，情形是這樣的：在猶太人當中有數以萬計的信徒，他們都是嚴守摩西法律的。
21:21 他們聽見你曾經教導僑居外邦的猶太人放棄摩西的法律，不要替孩子行割禮，也不必遵守猶太人一般的規矩。
21:22 他們一定會聽到你已來此地的消息，我們該怎麼辦呢？
21:23 現在請你照我們的話做吧！這裏有四個許下了願的人；
21:24 你帶著他們，跟他們一道去行潔淨禮，替他們繳費。這樣，他們就可以剃掉頭髮。你這樣做，大家就會知道，他們所聽見關於你的事不是事實，並且知道你自己也是遵守摩西法律的。
21:25 至於對外邦人中的信徒，我們已經寫信吩咐他們不可吃任何祭過偶像的食物，不可吃血或被勒死的牲畜，也不可有淫亂的行為。」
21:26 於是，保羅帶著那些人，在第二天跟他們一起行了潔淨禮。他又到聖殿去報告潔淨期屆滿的日子，等候祭司為他們每一個人獻上祭物。

21:17 When we had come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
21:18 On the following day Paul went in with us to James; and all the elders were present.
21:19 After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified God. And they said to him, "You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed; they are all zealous for the law,
21:21 and they have been told about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or observe the customs.
21:22 What then is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come.
21:23 Do therefore what we tell you. We have four men who are under a vow;
21:24 take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses, so that they may shave their heads. Thus all will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you but that you yourself live in observance of the law.
21:25 But as for the Gentiles who have believed, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity."
21:26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day he purified himself with them and went into the temple, to give notice when the days of purification would be fulfilled and the offering presented for every one of them.
