15:12 眾人都默默無聲，聽巴拿巴和保羅述說神藉他們在外邦人中所行的神蹟奇事。
15:13 他們住了聲，雅各就說：諸位弟兄，請聽我的話。
15:14 方才西門述說神當初怎樣眷顧外邦人，從他們中間選取百姓歸於自己的名下；
15:15 眾先知的話也與這意思相合。
15:16 正如經上所寫的：此後，我要回來，重新修造大衛倒塌的帳幕，把那破壞的重新修造建立起來，
15:17 叫餘剩的人，就是凡稱為我名下的外邦人，都尋求主。
15:18 這話是從創世以來，顯明這事的主說的。
15:19 所以據我的意見，不可難為那歸服神的外邦人；
15:20 只要寫信，吩咐他們禁戒偶像的污穢和姦淫，並勒死的牲畜和血。
15:21 因為從古以來，摩西的書在各城有人傳講，每逢安息日，在會堂裡誦讀。
15:22 那時，使徒和長老並全教會定意從他們中間揀選人，差他們和保羅、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所揀選的就是稱呼巴撒巴的猶大和西拉。這兩個人在弟兄中是作首領的。
15:23 於是寫信交付他們，內中說：使徒和作長老的弟兄們問安提阿、敘利亞、基利家外邦眾弟兄的安。
15:24 我們聽說，有幾個人從我們這裡出去，用言語攪擾你們，惑亂你們的心。（有古卷在此有：你們必須受割禮，守摩西的律法。）其實我們並沒有吩咐他們。
15:25 所以，我們同心定意，揀選幾個人，差他們同我們所親愛的巴拿巴和保羅往你們那裡去。
15:26 這二人是為我主耶穌基督的名不顧性命的。
15:27 我們就差了猶大和西拉，他們也要親口訴說這些事。
15:28 因為聖靈和我們定意不將別的重擔放在你們身上；惟有幾件事是不可少的，
15:29 就是禁戒祭偶像的物和血，並勒死的牲畜和姦淫。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒不犯就好了。願你們平安！

15:12 大家默默地聽著巴拿巴和保羅報告上帝藉著他們在外邦人當中所行的一切神蹟奇事。
15:13 他們講完後，雅各也說：「諸位主內朋友，請聽！
15:14 剛才西門說明了上帝怎樣眷顧外邦人，從他們當中選召人來歸屬自己。
15:15 先知所說的話完全跟這個相符。聖經這樣記載：
15:16 主說：此後我要回來，重建大衛倒塌了的家。我要從廢墟中重新建造，把它建立起來。
15:17 這樣，所有其餘的人，我所選召歸向我的外邦人，都要尋求主。
15:18 那位從遠古就指示這事的主這樣宣佈了。」
15:19 雅各繼續說：「所以照我的看法，我們不應該為難那些歸向上帝的外邦人。
15:20 我們應該寫信，吩咐他們不可吃因祭過偶像而不潔淨的食物，不可有淫亂的行為，不可吃勒死的牲畜和血。
15:21 因為自古以來，每逢安息日，在各會堂裏都有人宣讀摩西的法律，在各城裏都有人宣揚他的教導。」

致外邦信徒的信
15:22 這時候，使徒和長老們以及全教會決定要推選代表，派他們跟保羅、巴拿巴一道去安提阿。他們選出別號巴撒巴的猶大和西拉。這兩個人一向為信徒們所尊重。
15:23 他們帶去的信這樣寫著：「使徒和作長老的弟兄們問候在安提阿、敘利亞、基利家所有的外邦信徒們！
15:24 我們聽說有些人從我們這裏出去；他們所說的話使你們徬徨困惑。其實，我們並沒有吩咐他們去說那些話。
15:25 所以我們一起商議，大家同意選派代表到你們那裏去。他們要跟我們親愛的朋友巴拿巴和保羅同行；
15:26 這兩人曾為著事奉我們的主耶穌基督而不惜冒生命的危險。
15:27 所以我們選派猶大和西拉；他們要當面告訴你們信中所提起的事。
15:28 因為聖靈贊同我們，除了一些必要的規例，不要把其他的重擔加給你們。
15:29 你們不可吃祭過偶像的食物；不可吃血和被勒死的牲畜；也不可有淫亂的行為。你們能夠不犯這幾件就好了。願你們平安！」

15:12 And all the assembly kept silence; and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.
15:13 After they finished speaking, James replied, "Brethren, listen to me.
15:14 Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15:15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, as it is written,
15:16 `After this I will return, and I will rebuild the dwelling of David, which has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up,
15:17 that the rest of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,
15:18 says the Lord, who has made these things known from of old.'
15:19 Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God,
15:20 but should write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols and from unchastity and from what is strangled and from blood.
15:21 For from early generations Moses has had in every city those who preach him, for he is read every sabbath in the synagogues."
15:22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsab'bas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
15:23 with the following letter: "The brethren, both the apostles and the elders, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cili'cia, greeting.
15:24 Since we have heard that some persons from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,
15:25 it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
15:26 men who have risked their lives for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.
15:28 For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
15:29 that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell."
