10:17 彼得心裡正在猜疑之間，不知所看見的異象是甚麼意思。哥尼流所差來的人已經訪問到西門的家，站在門外，
10:18 喊著問：有稱呼彼得的西門住在這裡沒有？
10:19 彼得還思想那異象的時候，聖靈向他說：有三個人來找你。
10:20 起來，下去，和他們同往，不要疑惑，因為是我差他們來的。
10:21 於是彼得下去見那些人，說：我就是你們所找的人。你們來是為甚麼緣故？
10:22 他們說：百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏神，為猶太通國所稱讚。他蒙一位聖天使指示，叫他請你到他家裡去，聽你的話。
10:23 彼得就請他們進去，住了一宿。次日，起身和他們同去，還有約帕的幾個弟兄同著他去；
10:24 又次日，他們進入凱撒利亞，哥尼流已經請了他的親屬密友等候他們。
10:25 彼得一進去，哥尼流就迎接他，俯伏在他腳前拜他。
10:26 彼得拉他，說：你起來，我也是人。
10:27 彼得和他說著話進去，見有好些人在那裡聚集，
10:28 就對他們說：你們知道，猶太人和別國的人親近來往本是不合例的，但神已經指示我，無論甚麼人都不可看作俗而不潔淨的。
10:29 所以我被請的時候，就不推辭而來。現在請問：你們叫我來有甚麼意思呢？
10:30 哥尼流說：前四天，這個時候，我在家中守著申初的禱告，忽然有一個人穿著光明的衣裳，站在我面前，
10:31 說：哥尼流，你的禱告已蒙垂聽，你的賙濟達到神面前已蒙記念了。
10:32 你當打發人往約帕去，請那稱呼彼得的西門來，他住在海邊一個硝皮匠西門的家裡。
10:33 所以我立時打發人去請你。你來了很好；現今我們都在神面前，要聽主所吩咐你的一切話。

10:17 彼得正在猜疑，不知道所看見的異象是甚麼意思；這時候，哥尼流所差來的人已經找到西門的家，站在門外，
10:18 高聲問：「有沒有一位名叫西門‧彼得的客人住在這裏？」
10:19 彼得還在尋思那異象究竟是甚麼意思的時候，聖靈對他說：「有三個人【8】來找你呢！
10:20 你起來，下去，跟他們一道去，不要疑惑，因為是我差遣他們來的。」
10:21 於是彼得下去，對那些人說：「我就是你們所要找的人。你們來是為著甚麼呢？」
10:22 他們回答：「是我們的長官哥尼流差我們來的；他是一位敬畏上帝的義人，一向受全體猶太人民的尊敬。有一位聖天使指示他，要他來請你到他家裏去，好領受你的教導。」
10:23 彼得就請他們進去，招待他們在那裏過夜。第二天，彼得動身跟他們一道去；從約帕來的幾位信徒也跟他同行。
10:24 再過一天，他們到了凱撒利亞。哥尼流已經邀請他的親朋好友在家裏迎候。
10:25 彼得剛要進去，哥尼流上前，俯伏在他腳前拜他。
10:26 彼得連忙扶他起來，說：「請起來，我自己也是人。」
10:27 彼得一邊跟哥尼流說話，一邊走進屋裏去。他看見裏面有許多人聚集，
10:28 就對他們說：「你們都知道，按照我們的規矩，猶太人是不許跟異族人密切來往的；但是上帝已經指示我，不可以把任何人當作不潔淨或凡俗的。
10:29 所以，當你們差人來邀請我時，我沒有推辭就來了。現在請問，你們請我來是為著甚麼？」
10:30 哥尼流說：「四天前，大約下午三點鐘的時候，我在家裏禱告。忽然有一個穿著光亮衣服的人站在我面前，
10:31 說：『哥尼流！上帝垂聽了你的禱告，也記得你所做賙濟的善事。
10:32 你要派人到約帕去，邀請名叫西門‧彼得的那人來。他在皮革匠西門的家裏作客；西門的家就在海邊。』
10:33 因此，我立刻差人去請你；你肯光臨，真是再好沒有了。現在我們都在上帝面前，要聽主吩咐你說的一切話。」

10:17 Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men that were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood before the gate
10:18 and called out to ask whether Simon who was called Peter was lodging there.
10:19 And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are looking for you.
10:20 Rise and go down, and accompany them without hesitation; for I have sent them."
10:21 And Peter went down to the men and said, "I am the one you are looking for; what is the reason for your coming?"
10:22 And they said, "Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house, and to hear what you have to say."
10:23 So he called them in to be his guests. The next day he rose and went off with them, and some of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
10:24 And on the following day they entered Caesare'a. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his kinsmen and close friends.
10:25 When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.
10:26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I too am a man."
10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many persons gathered;
10:28 and he said to them, "You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit any one of another nation; but God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
10:29 So when I was sent for, I came without objection. I ask then why you sent for me."
10:30 And Cornelius said, "Four days ago, about this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel,
10:31 saying, `Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.
10:32 Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter; he is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the seaside.'
10:33 So I sent to you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God, to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord."
