腓利和衣索匹亞的太監
8:26 有主的一個使者對腓利說：「起來！向南走，往那從耶路撒冷下迦薩的路上去。」那路是曠野。
8:27 腓利就起身去了，不料，有一個衣索匹亞（就是古實，見以賽亞十八章一節）人，是個有大權的太監，在衣索匹亞女王甘大基的手下總管銀庫，他上耶路撒冷禮拜去了。
8:28 現在回來，在車上坐著，念先知以賽亞的書。
8:29 聖靈對腓利說：「你去！貼近那車走。」
8:30 腓利就跑到太監那裏，聽見他念先知以賽亞的書，便問他說：「你所念的，你明白嗎？」
8:31 他說：「沒有人指教我，怎能明白呢？」於是請腓利上車，與他同坐。
8:32 他所念的那段經，說：他像羊被牽到宰殺之地，又像羊羔在剪毛的人手下無聲；他也是這樣不開口。
8:33 他卑微的時候，人不按公義審判他（原文是他的審判被奪去）；誰能述說他的世代？因為他的生命從地上奪去。
8:34 太監對腓利說：「請問，先知說這話是指著誰？是指著自己呢？是指著別人呢？」
8:35 腓利就開口從這經上起，對他傳講耶穌。
8:36 二人正往前走，到了有水的地方，太監說：「看哪，這裏有水，我受洗有甚麼妨礙呢？」（有古卷加：
8:37 腓利說：「你若是一心相信，就可以。」他回答說：「我信耶穌基督是　神的兒子。」）
8:38 於是吩咐車站住，腓利和太監二人同下水裏去，腓利就給他施洗。
8:39 從水裏上來，主的靈把腓利提了去，太監也不再見他了，就歡歡喜喜地走路。
8:40 後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利；他走遍那地方，在各城宣傳福音，直到凱撒利亞。

8:26 有主的一個天使告訴腓利：「你動身向南走，到那條從耶路撒冷通往迦薩的路上去。」(這條路已經荒廢了【6】。)
8:27 腓利就動身前往。在途中，他遇見一個衣索匹亞的太監。這個人是一位高級官員，在衣索匹亞女王甘大基手下經管財務。他上耶路撒冷去敬拜上帝；歸途中，他坐在自己的馬車上誦讀先知以賽亞的書。

8:29 聖靈對腓利說：「你過去，靠近那車子走。」
8:30 腓利跑過去，聽見太監正在誦讀先知以賽亞的書，就問他：「你所讀的，你明白嗎？」
8:31 他回答：「除非有人開導，我怎能明白呢？」於是他邀請腓利上車，跟他坐在一起。
8:32 他所誦讀的那一段經文是：他像一隻被牽去屠宰的羊，像一隻在剪毛人手下的羔羊默默無聲；同樣，他也一言不發。
8:33 他忍受恥辱；沒有人替他主持正義，也沒有人能指出他的世系，因為他在世上的生命已到了盡頭。
8:34 太監問腓利：「請指教我，先知這段話是指著誰說的？是指他自己呢，還是指著別人？」
8:35 腓利就開口，從這一段經文開始，向他講解關於耶穌的福音的事。
8:36 他們經過一個地方，路旁有水，太監說：「這裏有水，我不可以就在這裏接受洗禮嗎？」

8:38 太監就吩咐停車；腓利跟他一同下到水裏，為他施行洗禮。
8:39 他們從水裏上來的時候，主的靈把腓利帶走；太監再也看不見他了。他繼續趕路，滿心快樂。
8:40 後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利；他走遍那一帶地方，在各村鎮宣講福音，直到他來到凱撒利亞。

8:26 But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is a desert road.
8:27 And he rose and went. And behold, an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a minister of the Can'dace, queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to worship
8:28 and was returning; seated in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
8:29 And the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot."
8:30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
8:31 And he said, "How can I, unless some one guides me?" And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
8:32 Now the passage of the scripture which he was reading was this: "As a sheep led to the slaughter or a lamb before its shearer is dumb, so he opens not his mouth.
8:33 In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken up from the earth."
8:34 And the eunuch said to Philip, "About whom, pray, does the prophet say this, about himself or about some one else?"
8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this scripture he told him the good news of Jesus.
8:36 And as they went along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "See, here is water! What is to prevent my being baptized?"
8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
8:39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught up Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.
8:40 But Philip was found at Azo'tus, and passing on he preached the gospel to all the towns till he came to Caesare'a.
