19:1 當下彼拉多將耶穌鞭打了。
19:2 兵丁用荊棘編作冠冕戴在他頭上，給他穿上紫袍，
19:3 又挨近他，說：恭喜，猶太人的王啊！他們就用手掌打他。
19:4 彼拉多又出來對眾人說：我帶他出來見你們，叫你們知道我查不出他有甚麼罪來。
19:5 耶穌出來，戴著荊棘冠冕，穿著紫袍。彼拉多對他們說：你們看這個人！
19:6
祭司長和差役看見他，就喊著說：釘他十字架！釘他十字架！彼拉多說：你們自己把他釘十字架吧！我查不出他有甚麼罪來。
19:7 猶太人回答說：我們有律法，按那律法，他是該死的，因他以自己為神的兒子。
19:8 彼拉多聽見這話，越發害怕，
19:9 又進衙門，對耶穌說：你是那裡來的？耶穌卻不回答。
19:10 彼拉多說：你不對我說話嗎？你豈不知我有權柄釋放你，也有權柄把你釘十字架嗎？
19:11
耶穌回答說：若不是從上頭賜給你的，你就毫無權柄辦我。所以，把我交給你的那人罪更重了。
19:12
從此，彼拉多想要釋放耶穌，無奈猶太人喊著說：你若釋放這個人，就不是凱撒的忠臣（原文作朋友）。凡以自己為王的，就是背叛凱撒了。
19:13
彼拉多聽見這話，就帶耶穌出來，到了一個地方，名叫鋪華石處，希伯來話叫厄巴大，就在那裡坐堂。
19:14 那日是預備逾越節的日子，約有午正。彼拉多對猶太人說：看哪，這是你們的王！
19:15
他們喊著說：除掉他！除掉他！釘他在十字架上！彼拉多說：我可以把你們的王釘十字架嗎？祭司長回答說：除了凱撒，我們沒有王。
19:16 於是彼拉多將耶穌交給他們去釘十字架。

19:3 他們上前對他說：「猶太人的王萬歲！」然後用手掌打他。
19:4 彼拉多又出來對群眾說：「好！我帶他出來，讓你們知道，我查不出他有甚麼罪名。」
19:5 於是耶穌出來，戴著荊棘的冠冕，穿著紫色的袍子。彼拉多對他們說：「瞧！這個人！」

那些祭司長和聖殿警衛一看見耶穌，大喊：「把他釘十字架！把他釘十字架！」彼拉多對他們說：「你們自己帶他去釘十字架吧。我查不出他有甚麼罪名。」
19:7 群眾說：「我們有法律，根據那法律他是該死的，因為他自命為上帝的兒子。」
19:8 彼拉多聽見他們這樣說，更加害怕。
19:9 他再一次進總督府內，問耶穌：「你究竟是從哪裏來的？」但是耶穌沒有回答。
19:10 彼拉多對他說：「你不回答我嗎？你要知道，我有權釋放你，也有權把你釘十字架。」
19:11 耶穌說：「只因上帝給你這權，你才有權辦我。所以，把我交給你那個人的罪更重了。」
19:12 彼拉多聽見這話，愈想要釋放耶穌。可是群眾叫喊說：「你釋放他，你就不是皇上的朋友！誰自命為王，誰就是皇上的敵人。」
19:13 彼拉多聽見他們說這樣的話，就帶耶穌出來，在名叫「石砌階」(希伯來話叫加巴大)的地方開庭審問。
19:14 那天是逾越節的預備日，約在正午，彼拉多對群眾說：「瞧！你們的王。」
19:15
他們就喊叫：「殺掉他！殺掉他！把他釘十字架！」彼拉多問他們：「要我把你們的王釘在十字架上嗎？」祭司長們回答：「只有凱撒是我們的王！」
19:16 於是彼拉多把耶穌交給他們去釘十字架。

19:1 Then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him.
19:2 And the soldiers plaited a crown of
thorns, and put it on his head, and arrayed him in a purple robe;
19:3 they came up to him, saying, "Hail, King
of the Jews!" and struck him with their hands.
19:4 Pilate went out again, and said to them,
"See, I am bringing him out to you, that you may know that I find no
crime in him."
19:5 So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of
thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Behold the man!"
19:6 When the chief priests and the officers
saw him, they cried out, "Crucify him, crucify him!" Pilate said to
them, "Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no crime in him."
19:7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law,
and by that law he ought to die, because he has made himself the Son of
God."
19:8 When Pilate heard these words, he was
the more afraid;
19:9 he entered the praetorium again and said
to Jesus, "Where are you from?" But Jesus gave no answer.
19:10 Pilate therefore said to him, "You
will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you,
and power to crucify you?"
19:11 Jesus answered him, "You would have no
power over me unless it had been given you from above; therefore he who
delivered me to you has the greater sin."
19:12 Upon this Pilate sought to release
him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not
Caesar's friend; every one who makes himself a king sets himself against
Caesar."
19:13 When Pilate heard these words, he
brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called
The Pavement, and in Hebrew, Gab'batha.
19:14 Now it was the day of Preparation of
the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, "Behold
your King!"
19:15 They cried out, "Away with him, away
with him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your
King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar."
19:16 Then he handed him over to them to be
crucified.
